Team

As SaaS Sales Manager, you will join the foundational team in the iwell Germany team, reporting directly into the Germany Country Director. You will work closely with in-country colleagues, the International BD / expansion team, and Sales and Operations teams in HQ in the Netherlands. It is up to you and your future colleagues to shape the iwell identity in Germany!

The Role

The focus is on driving the sales and adoption of our Energy Management System (EMS) as part of the iwell solution. This role involves identifying and engaging potential new clients and upselling to existing Battery Energy Storage (BESS) clients, understanding their energy challenges, and demonstrating how iwell’s software optimises energy usage and storage locally. By building strong relationships with new and existing clients, the role ensures long-term success and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, this position plays a crucial role in iwell’s strategy to shift focus from hardware sales to software sales in the coming years .

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to promote iWell's SaaS as part of iwell’s smart energy management solutions, aiming to meet and exceed established sales targets.

  • Identify and engage potential clients through comprehensive research, networking, and targeted outreach, building a robust sales pipeline.

  • Conduct tailored product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value and benefits of iWell's software solutions to prospective clients.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, retention, and generating referrals.

  • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals that align with both company objectives and client needs, ensuring mutual satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SaaS or software sales, preferably within the energy sector, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

  • Experience in selling complex software solutions and an established network within the service providers market is highly desirable.

  • Network in key customer Behind the Meter (BtM) segments such as C&I verticals like logistical real estate, facilities management, and heavier industries looking to electrify.

  • Bias to action – you will have a ‘Just f*cking do it!’ mentality.

  • Proficiency in CRM software (Hubspot) and sales tools, with strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends.

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and a ‘can do’ attitude with strong organisational and time-management skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Strong communication skills in both German and English, enabling you to convey information clearly and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.

  • You live in Germany and are willing to travel within the country and attend industry shows / networking events internationally, when applicable. You may also have occasional trips to HQ in Utrecht, The Netherlands too.
