This is a highly operational leadership role focused on execution rather than strategy. The successful candidate will take ownership of a portfolio of large-scale building, energy and controls deployments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest technical standards. Working across a combination of internal teams, customers and specialist subcontractors, you will be responsible for driving delivery excellence from project handover through commissioning, customer acceptance and ongoing operational transition.

Key responsibilities

Key responsibilities include leading project management teams, coordinating engineering and technical resources, managing contractors and field partners, overseeing project financial performance, and ensuring effective planning and execution across multiple sites simultaneously. You will establish robust delivery processes, performance metrics and governance frameworks that create consistency across regions while supporting significant future growth.

The position requires strong experience managing multi-site deployment programmes involving building controls, HVAC, energy systems, MEP infrastructure, distributed energy technologies or similar technical environments. You will be comfortable operating both at a strategic portfolio level and within the detail of individual project execution, with the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact delivery.

A significant aspect of the role involves building and managing high-performing subcontractor networks, establishing clear scopes of work, service expectations and quality standards, and ensuring all partners are held accountable for delivery outcomes. You will work closely with engineering teams to coordinate system integration, commissioning activities and technical problem-solving while maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidates should bring a proven track record of leading complex field deployments or construction programmes, managing multimillion-dollar budgets and coordinating geographically dispersed teams. Experience delivering projects across multiple European countries is essential, with particular interest in professionals who have worked extensively in the German market. Exposure to scaling operations within the United States would be advantageous.
